Response 2: American Artist

In the article "Black and Blue: American Artist Is Redefining How We Think About Race in the Digital Age" by Alex Greenburger. the author explores the ways in which art is evolving with modern technology and emerging political and social issues. I think it is interesting how the idea of identity is discussed using "blue identity." I think this relates to our franken animal assignment in which we explored some parts of our identity with the goal of infusing "us" into our art. I think it is also very powerful for artists to use their work to make a statement that goes towards something bigger than themselves
